The candidates qualified in written examination are now gearing up for their interviews, which is the next round of selection. The interviews are for the selected candidates who have secured the cut off marks in the written examination. This becomes the final hurdle for the candidates and mostly the ratio with which candidates get selected remains 3:1. Hence, the candidates need to be in their fullest to crack the interview, so that they can outperform the fellow candidates by scoring in this particular round. It is thus important to get your basics right while taking preparations for the interview.
There has to be a proper way of presenting yourself in front of the interview panel that makes a lasting impression on them and creates a mindset about your candidature. There are few things mentioned that the candidates should keep in mind while facing the interview panel.

• Greet the panel with a smile

This is the most basic thing that every interviewee should keep in mind. While you enter into the interview room, greet the panel with a smile and make your way into the room with full confidence. Don’t seat on the chair until you take permission or get a nod from the panel.

• Try and communicate with each panelist

Most of the panels consist of two or more interviewers. The more the number of panelists the more it becomes challenging to get into the mind of them. Hence, you need to be conversant with all the panelists present there and convey your message loud and clear through your answers to each and every one present there.

• Speak eye to eye

This is probably the best way to show your confidence to the panelists. No matter how the interviewer tries to grill you with tricky questions, you need to keep your temper down and speak with utter confidence, seeing right back at their eyes. You need to speak what you are confident about and the rest could get done with your attitude while facing the panel.

• Prepare yourself beforehand

The panel might ask you questions of general interest of your awareness regarding your surroundings. You need to keep a close track on the events of national and international importance in order to score while they ask you the same.

• Modulate your voice accordingly

While you face the interview you need to be yourself. There is no need to use a false tone for giving interview, but you must keep track of your throw of voice. It shouldn’t be very loud and rusty. You must work on your diction beforehand if it is a problem for you and try to encapsulate it with rigorous practice before the interview.

• Choose your language beforehand

Many interviewers fail at the time of interview due to stumbling in their preferred language. Don’t commit this mistake and decide beforehand that what would be your language of answering and maintain the same throughout the interview, rather than mixing languages in between and creating a mess.
