till 03 May 2015 through online application forms. This year the bank

Candidates should focus on tricks, methods, preparations, time managing and improving mental reasoning ability to further succeed in the examination to go through the Phase II of the selection that contains Objective Online examinations. Those candidates who can clear the prelims, scoring cut off marks in each of the paper, would get a chance to sit for the Main examination. The final selection would be made keeping in mind the scores of both Mains Examination and that off the group discussion and personal interview rounds.
Tips and Strategies
The prelims examination is expected to be quite easier than that of the previous year questions for the PO examination organized by SBI. Thus following some tips and strategies could help candidates to score more in the prelims examination and crack it easily.

Tips and Strategies
The prelims examination is expected to be quite easier than that of the previous year questions for the PO examination organized by SBI. Thus following some tips and strategies could help candidates to score more in the prelims examination and crack it easily.
- Eye for the basic ones: Rather than trying hard and mugging sums up from every possible source that you get, it is rather useful to go through the basic mathematical operations, formulas and ideas to crack the prelims. The questions are expected to test the number system, number series, interest rates and other -such basic mathematical ideas of the candidates. Keeping track of the basic algebraic, trigonometric and geometric sums would help the candidates immensely in solving the questions in the prelims.
- Solving questions related to Average and Percentages: Majority of the questions in the paper could be from the basic questions related to Average, means, profit-loss, calculating percentages and quoting right interest rates. Hence, preparing these questions on a regular interval while preparing and remember certain formulas related to the sums by heart could give immense success to the candidates while giving the examination. These formulas could even get remembered through using certain logic and tricks, which could be easily found in guidebooks and text books related to competitive examinations.
- Measure your time effectively: Time is a vital factor in the examination as you would get about an hour’s time to solve all the three papers in the examination and thus it is must for the candidates to develop such techniques that can help them solving problems without actually doing the long and tedious sums (through multiplication, division, addition and subtraction) through set norms and standards. This could save enormous amount of time as there are questions like related to Time and Work, speed, time and distance and problems on ages which could take quite a lot of time, if done through age old mathematical methods.
- Make sure your answer is correct: There is no way you can afford to give an answer wrong, as this could make your chances fade to qualify due to the negative markings. Hence, it is required by the candidates to answer the questions that they are sure about and invest their time only on them which they seem to know well and can solve easily.
