What is GATE Exam?

GATE also known as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, this exam is recognized as an all India entrance exam. It is a common exam for all fields of engineering. Interested students can appear for it. This exam is conducted in collaboration with IISC (Indian Institute of Sciences) – Bangalore and seven IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) institutes for receiving admissions into engineering and science disciplines PG Programs. A candidate holding a degree of engineering Technology, Architecture or those in the pre final year of these fields can appear for this examination. The GATE exam is held every year in the month of February and for some subjects its an online exam, while for others its offline exam. The question paper of GATE exam consists of 65 questions with total of 100 marks. The test paper is of objective type & need to be finished in 3hours duration.
